Top Christmas Gift for Marketing Professionals

What it's about: Twenty Jobs Twenty Lessons is about one man's career journey in the marketing industry. It's an inspiring memoir that shares all Bob's best advice.

How it inspired me: Creativity. Marketing is a great field for creativity. That's what draws me into marketing. Twenty Jobs Twenty Lessons inspired me to continue dabbling in marketing, utilizing the opportunity to  create!

Why I recommend it:  First, let's talk about the author. Bob is one of the most inspiring individuals I know. He's not shy on social media. Thanks to his transparency on social media, I've had the opportunity to get to know Bob very well. He shares stories not only about his professional adventures but reminds us all that he's human and shares warm stories of his lovely wife, children, and mother. Following Bob on social media is valuable because every day he offers an uplifting message. If you're not having a "rediculously awesome day," Bob's energetic positive messages will be sure to help you rebound!

I first met Bob when I was a student at Northeastern University in the nonprofit management program. Bob was a guest speaker in my marketing course. Years later, having stayed connected through social media, I asked him to be a guest speaker for the introduction to nonprofit management course I was teaching. One of the goals of my course was to show the students various career pathways they could take in the nonprofit field. Bob delivered illustrating opportunities he had in the field working on major nonprofit marketing campaigns. Bob is also an adjunct professor. He has the perfect skill set for inspiring the next generation of professionals - expertise, encouraging attitude, and passion!

The book is a "great gift" because his lessons learned are useful and immediately applicable. For me, it's more about who is telling the stories than what the stories are about. It's a set of stories from someone with great character, authenticity, and a strong work ethic. I highly recommend it for marketing professionals but especially for students and young professionals.
