2023 Year in Review: A Grateful Heart for New Beginnings – Welcoming My Baby Boy and Growing Business Ventures

As the curtains close on 2023, I stand in awe at the whirlwind of experiences that shaped this extraordinary year.

The year commenced with the invigorating Polar Plunge, setting the tone for a year of bold pursuits. 

A Washington DC trip marked a significant milestone – my first in-person conference since the pandemic's onset. Embarking on a road trip with my husband and daughter added an extra layer of excitement, turning the journey into a family adventure. Exploring the sights of National Harbor brought a sense of wonder, and the glittering waterfront views mirrored the optimism of reconnecting with the world. Serendipity unfolded as we also connected with an Eatern Nazarene College alumni event at the National Bible Museum. The trip encapsulated more than professional growth; it became a testament to resilience, family bonds, and the joy of unexpected connections in a world reopening after challenging times.

March unfolded as a month of subtle triumphs and exciting revelations. Hosting my first marketing table for the business at the Cranberry Chamber event not only provided a valuable connection with the community but also opened doors to new opportunities. Amidst professional endeavors, the satisfaction of finalizing a $30k grant for a client added to the sense of accomplishment. We also learned we were expecting baby #2! In the delicate dance of professional growth and the anticipation of a new baby, March became a chapter marked by both newfound opportunities and the joyous revelation of life's intricate journey.

Sponsoring the Cape & Plymouth Business 40 Under 40 alumni event was a source of immense pride, celebrating the accomplishments of exceptional individuals and fostering a sense of community connection. The event reflected a commitment to acknowledging excellence and contributing to the collective success of the region.

May unfolded as a month of artistic collaboration with ANJ Bracelets, culminating in an exclusive design crafted for my launch event. The bracelets, intended as thoughtful attendee gifts, became tangible expressions of the brand's core themes—growth, creativity, and renewal. Each piece embodied the essence of my venture, weaving a narrative that resonated with the values and aspirations at the heart of the business. This collaboration not only added a touch of elegance to the event but also became a symbol of the harmonious blend of creativity and purpose that defined the journey, making May a month where the threads of design seamlessly intertwined with the brand's overarching narrative.

June reached its zenith as I concluded the meticulous assembly of a $1 million in draft grant applications for Abington’s Memorial Bridge project. 

July burst forth with palpable excitement as the eagerly anticipated launch party unfolded. Vibrant hues, laughter, and the hum of conversations filled the air, creating an atmosphere of celebration and achievement. Colleagues, friends, and well-wishers gathered to share in the success of the venture, turning the launch into a memorable event.

August embraced the glow of anticipation as we celebrated the impending arrival of our little one through a heartfelt maternity photoshoot, capturing the essence of this special journey in a single frame.

September marked the poignant release of my book, a culmination of personal reflections and experiences, celebrated with a heartfelt pop-up event at my Alma Mater, Eastern Nazarene College's book store, where the pages came to life amidst nostalgic echoes and shared memories.

October heralded the arrival of boundless joy as we welcomed our baby boy into the world, a moment brimming with love and the promise of a beautiful journey ahead.

As the curtains descended on this joyous year, December became a canvas for reflection and future aspirations. Amidst the holiday cheer and festive preparations, my family and I found solace in planning for an extraordinary 2024. The echoes of accomplishments, from the launch party to welcoming our baby boy, resonated with gratitude, creating a harmonious melody of fulfillment. As we looked back at the chapters of 2023, each page illustrated a journey enriched by professional triumphs, personal joys, and the warmth of shared experiences. With the promise of a new year on the horizon, December became a month of quiet anticipation, laying the groundwork for future endeavors and savoring the beauty of a year well-lived.
